Tanzania Travel Terms and Conditions

Home > Terms and Conditions

We are committed to providing you with a memorable and safe safari experience. Please review the following terms and conditions that apply to all bookings made with Maggie’s Tour Company.

1. Booking & Payment Policy

  • A deposit of 50% of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking.
  • The balance (50%) must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival in Tanzania.
  • For last-minute bookings (within 30 days), full payment is required upon confirmation.

2. Price & Inclusions

Our safari packages include:

  • Accommodation as outlined in your itinerary
  • All park entry fees and conservation charges
  • Meals and drinking water while on safari
  • Transport in a private 4×4 safari vehicle with a professional guide
  • All listed activities and excursions

Prices do not include international flights, travel insurance, personal items, visas, tips, or additional drinks.

3. Amendments to Bookings

  • Changes to your confirmed itinerary are permitted up to 21 days before travel, subject to availability and any additional costs.
  • We will do our best to accommodate your request without penalty, where possible.

4. Travel Insurance

All guests are required to have valid travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, personal liability, and trip cancellations or delays.

5. Cancellation & Postponement Policy

We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. While we do have a cancellation policy in place, we strongly encourage our guests to consider postponing their trip instead of cancelling.

Cancellation Terms:
  • Cancellations 60+ days before arrival: Refund of deposit minus bank/processing fees
  • Cancellations 30–59 days before arrival: 50% of total tour cost retained
  • Cancellations less than 30 days before arrival: No refund
Postponement Option (Highly Recommended):
  • You can postpone your safari at no additional charge, provided the change is made at least 14 days prior to your original travel date.
  • Your deposit and full payment (if made) will be credited in full to a future date within 12 months of the original booking.
  • This gives you the flexibility to travel when you’re ready without losing your investment.

Important Note: Choosing to postpone instead of cancelling helps support local guides, communities, and conservation efforts that rely on your visit.

6. Force Majeure

Maggie’s Tour Company is not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters, pandemic restrictions, weather, airline disruptions, or political unrest. In such cases, we will work with you to offer the most flexible solution possible.

7. Liability Disclaimer

While we prioritize your safety at every stage of your journey, Maggie’s Tour Company shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings incurred during the safari. All participation in safari activities is at the client’s own risk.

Management & Community Responsibility Advisory
In some cases, additional services may be offered by community members or staff. These services are optional and may be provided more quickly if clients agree to pay a fair fee directly to the service provider.

Healthcare Support During Adventures
For emergency medical services or health concerns during your safari, we recommend Adventure Doctors – a trusted travel medical service available through www.parkdoctor.co.tz. Which we are also part of as a CSR ADVISORY.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking with Maggie’s Tour Company, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined above.

If you have any questions or require clarification on these terms, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to make your safari planning smooth and stress-free!
